Five ink signatures of prominent American authors — Washington Irving, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Zane Grey, Ben Ames Williams, and Rex Beach — on individual slips and cards ranging in size from 3.25 x 2 to 4.5 x 1.5, four affixed to slightly larger black backing sheets bearing contemporary collector identifications and dates. The Washington Irving signature is dated “Sunnyside, June 18, 1856,” and the Burroughs, Grey, Williams, and Beach signatures are identified as having been obtained in 1927. The Irving signature is matted and framed with an engraved portrait to an overall size of 7 x 10.25. In overall fine condition.
