ALS as president-elect, signed "George Bush," one page both sides, 6.5 x 4.25, Vice President of the United States letterhead, November 27, 1988. Handwritten letter to "Mary & Roy," in full: "Love the wreath and plate. How very kind & neighborly of you. We’ve had 4 great days. Now back to some tough problems ahead." In very fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope with stamped free frank; a “Kennebunkport Residents Only” V.I.P. pass, dated November 28, 1988, for the “Welcome Home Celebration President-Elect and Mrs. George Bush”; and a "Presidential Inaugural Bicentennial" George Bush silk ribbon, given to supporters in Kennebunkport, Maine, where the Bush family vacation home is located.
