Flown embroidered Apollo 9 mission patch, measuring 3.5˝ in diameter, affixed to a 14 x 11 mount, imprinted, "Carried into space during the flight of Apollo IX, 3–13 March 1969," and signed below in black felt tip, "Dave Scott, Apollo 9 CMP." In fine condition, with light mottle staining to the mount.
Accompanied by a letter of provenance signed by Dave Scott, in part: "This historic patch I have presented to you was flown aboard the Command Module (CM-104) 'Gumdrop' and Lunar Module (LM-3) 'Spider' on Apollo IX during the first test flight of a Lunar Module in Earth orbit. This patch travelled 10 days, 1 hour and 54 seconds with 151 Earth orbits from March 3–13, 1969."
