Description

Four 35mm negatives of Bob Dylan taken by Chuck Boyd during a press conference in Los Angeles on December 16, 1965, with Columbia Records publicist Billy James shown seated to his left. Three days later, Dylan would headline a show at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks.

The negatives are sold with copyright. The buyer is solely responsible for ascertaining that each image is otherwise cleared for publication.

On December 16, 1965, Bob Dylan held a famously evasive and witty press conference in Los Angeles amid continued scrutiny following his shift to electric music. Fielding questions from reporters, he offered oblique and often absurd answers, deflecting inquiries about protest songs, lyrical meaning, and alleged drug references with dry sarcasm.
