Rare official NASA press kit for the “Apollo 11 Fifty-State Tour, 1970-1971” and its “Apollo 11 Spacecraft and Lunar Rock Mobile Exhibit,” which includes the original purple folder, 9.5 x 11.75, and all of the original material: 11 press release information sheets/packets, nine official glossy NASA photos, an Apollo 11 ‘Mission Report,’ and an 11-page pamphlet entitled “Log of Apollo 11.” Also included is a map of the “Apollo 11 Fifty-State Tour, 1970-1971,” three press releases from the Governor of Texas announcing the tour stop at the State Capitol Building in Austin, Texas, and a rare gold-tone tie clip of the Apollo 11 Mobile Exhibit Van, which was produced in limited quantity and only given to high-ranking VIPs at the tour’s various whistle-stops. In overall very good to fine condition, with light wear to the folder, and some bends and creases to the photographs.
