(Walt Disney Studios, 1941) Original production cel featuring Dumbo and Timothy Q. Mouse from Dumbo, which depicts the fearless mouse, dressed in his red band major outfit, leading his large elephant friend, Dumbo, who is gently holding his friend’s tail. The cel has been trimmed and applied to an airbrushed background of the inside of a hay-strewen circus tent, beautifully prepared for sale by the esteemed Courvoisier Galleries; the lower right of the background bears a “WDP” stamp. Total character image measures 6 x 3.75, with a mat opening of 9.5 x 7.5. Matted to an overall size of 15.5 x 13.5; reverse of mount bears a Walt Disney Productions copyright stamp. In fine condition. A desirable production cel and Courvoisier background set-up that offers a wonderful profile view of the unlikely friends.
