Description

Influential banker (1870–1949) who founded the Bank of Italy (which became Bank of America) and pioneering many innovative banking practices, extending services to middle-class Americans. Two letters signed by Giannini: a TLS signed "A. P.," one page, 7.25 x 10.5, Bank of America letterhead, September 21, 1932, regarding a visit to California and a "checl-up of the branches on the way to Los Angeles"; and a TLS signed "A. P. Giannini," one page, 7.25 x 10.5, Bank of American letterhead, December 26, 1945, regarding his indefinite "plans for activity in the Philippines." In overall fine condition.
