Souvenir ticket stub from the "Official Pedestrian Day" held as part of the "Golden Gate Bridge Fiesta" to inaugurate the opening of the iconic San Francisco Bay Bridge, measuring 4.25 x 2.5, numbered “18656.” The reverse, which does not bear a validation stamp, is marked in pencil with the bearer’s name and reads: “This official Pedestrian Day souvenir ticket, when validated below, certifies that the bearer Carmen Alvarez walked on the Golden Gate Bridge on May 27, 1937, the day before the Bridge was formally opened to traffic, and the only day reserved exclusively for pedestrians." In fine condition. Encapsulated by PSA as “STUB AUTHENTIC.”
