Official priestess dress and sandals for the Olympic flame lighting ceremony of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, which took place on April 16, 2024, in Olympia, Greece, the birthplace of the ancient Olympic Games. A departure from the pale blue dresses with olive green pleats in recent ceremonies, the dress is two-toned in black and white with a full ‘Roman column’ pattern, the silhouette lined with vertical fluting, and the bodice decorated with an upper volute. The dress, roughly 53˝ in length, features an inner label for the internationally renowned designer Mary Katrantzou. The sand-colored sandals, 10.5˝ in length, bear leather straps arranged in the style of ancient Greek tradition. In overall fine condition.
