Desirable Civil War-dated $1000 Confederate States of America loan bond issued March 2, 1863, 14 x 14.25, with seven interest coupons intact below. The certificate features an attractive vignette portrait of Stonewall Jackson at the top, and a small image of a ship and railroad at the bottom. Signed at the conclusion by Charles A. Rose, the Assistant Register of the Confederate Treasury, who was appointed in 1863 and served until the end of the war. In fine condition.
