Original vintage circa 1960s matte-finish 4 x 4.75 photo of Marilyn Monroe wearing a silk Pucci dress during her trip to Mexico City in February 1962. The two serious men at her sides served as both her guides and bodyguards. Marilyn wore the same dress for her Vogue photo shoot with photographer Bert Stern. In fine condition. Encapsulated by PSA as an authentic "Type I" photograph, circa 1960s.
In February 1962, Monroe took a trip to Mexico—the birthplace of her mother, Gladys Pearl Monroe—to find furniture for her newly acquired hacienda-style house in Brentwood. For the next several days, Frederick Vanderbilt escorted the actress around Mexico City, shopping and sightseeing, before eventually cruising over to Acapulco and Cuernavaca. It was there that Monroe met up with screenwriter, cinematographer, and eventual new flame José Bolaños, who accompanied her to the 19th Golden Globes on March 5th.
