Description

Attractive photograph and arrowhead display commemorating the 14 Native American chiefs present at the Battle of Little Big Horn, containing a collection of 12 modern high-resolution photographs of all but one of the legendary chiefs, the outlier being Crazy Horse, who refused to have his picture taken because he believed it would steal his spirit. An engraved information plate is presented below each pictured leader, a group that includes: Fool Bull, Low Dog, Touch the Clouds, Little Wolf and Dull Knife, Slow Bull, Crow King, Rain-In-the-Face, Spotted Eagle, Sitting Bull, Red Cloud, Red Horse, and Gall. The two windows to the center of the display each contain a pair of carved stone arrowheads. Impressively double-matted and framed to an overall size of 35 x 35. In fine condition.

The Collection of Dr. Joseph Matheu.
