Unusually well-preserved ferrotype button from the 1864 presidential campaign, 1˝ in diameter, featuring a portrait of Abraham Lincoln on one side, identified as “A. Lincoln,” with his vice presidential running mate Andrew Johnson depicted on the reverse, “A. Johnson.” Either side of the brass button carries raised text, "For Pr[e]sident, 1864," and "For Vic[e] President, 1864." In fine condition, with a hole punched at the top of the button.
