Jack Kerouac's original vintage circa 1968 glossy 11 x 8.5 silver gelatin contact sheet photograph by Chrisopher Knight, featuring 15 images of Kerouac in an animated storytelling mode, dressed in a flannel shirt and seated in a relaxed manner. Reverse bears "A Kodak Paper" watermarks and is annotated in green ink, "Photographs by Christopher Knight, 2/68." In fine condition, with a few light creases and one tiny edge tear.
Accompanied by a letter of provenance signed by John Shen-Sampas, the executor of the estate of Jack Kerouac; Shen-Sampas is the son of John Sampas, who was Kerouac’s brother-in-law and literary executor. Shen-Sampas notes that "aside from perhaps one of the individual photographs, we were not able to locate the others as being published."
