Scott Carpenter’s STS-43 display, containing flown mission patches for Mercury-Atlas 7 and STS-43, both affixed to a 16.5 x 12.5 display with photographs from the mission and a printed caption, “This Mercury 7, Aurora 7 patch and crew patch were flown aboard the Orbiter Atlantius, Space Shuttle mission STS-43, August 2-11, 1991, which successfully deployed the fourth Tracking and Data Relay Satellite. Presented to M. Scott Carpenter, In Commemoration of the Thirtieth Anniversary of U.S. manned space flight from Mercury to Shuttle!” The caption is signed in black felt tip by the full crew: John Blaha, Michael Baker, Shannon Lucid, G. David Low, and Jim Adamson. Double-matted to an overall size of 20 x 16. In fine condition.
