(Walt Disney Studios, 1937) Fantastic original panoramic concept painting by Frank Follmer for the release of Fantasia, which shows a large three-tier cake covered with famous Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Jiminy Cricket, Pinocchio, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the Evil Queen, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, the three little pigs and the Big Bad Wolf, and Madame Upanova, who is pictured at the very top of the cake. Accomplished in graphite and watercolor on 17.75 x 10.75 artist's paper, signed in the lower right in pencil, "F. Follmer." Double-matted and framed to an overall size of 24.5 x 17.5. In fine condition. Follmer worked at Walt Disney Studios from the late 1930s through the early 1940s, assisting on projects like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, and Fantasia.
