Cleveland, 5 Feb. 1889”; and an official Executive Mansion card, 4 x 2.5, signed in ink as acting first lady, “Rose Elizabeth Cleveland, 3 June, 1885.” Rose Cleveland served as acting first lady of the United States from 1885 to 1886, during the presidency of her brother, Grover Cleveland.
