The collection is highlighted by items from the 1961 inauguration of President Kennedy and Vice President Johnson, which includes: an unused “Honored Guest” ticket to the 1961 presidential inauguration, issued as Row BB and Seat 103; an “Inaugural Committee” badge with patriotic ribbon and central medallion, with the ribbon bearing text: “1789-1961, 44th Inaugural, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, January 20th, 1961; an “Inauguration Ceremonies” Program; a 1961 inauguration invitation containing portraits of Kennedy and Johnson, both bearing facsimile signatures; an invitation to the 1961 inauguration from the Inaugural Committee; an “Inauguration 1961” guidebook; two invitations to “The Inaugural Ball,” held at the National Guard Armory (January 20th); an invitation to “The Inaugural Concert” at Constitution Hall (January 19th); invitations for receptions held in honor of “The Distinguished Ladies attending the Inauguration” and “The Governors of the States and Special Distinguished Guests,” both of which include their original program, with the “Distinguished Ladies” program containing facsimile signatures of Jackie Kennedy and Lady Bird Johnson, and accompanied by an original admission ticket to the reception. The collection also contains sundry programs and invitations for the 1965 inauguration of President Johnson; a color postcard of JFK; a black-bordered ‘thank you’ card from Jackie Kennedy; a “Special Delivery from Heaven” pamphlet in honor of the late JFK; and various ephemera related to the life of Robert F.
