Original vintage program for a Gerry and the Pacemakers concert at the Hippodrome in Brighton, England, on August 9, 1964, twelve pages, 7.75 x 10.5, the inside of which lists “The High Numbers” as the show’s opening act; when The Who hired Peter Meaden as their new manager, he renamed the group the High Numbers and dressed them up in mod clothes to represent the growing mod movement in Britain. After a few months, the group changed their name back to The Who when their single, ‘Zoot Suit / I'm the Face,’ failed to reach the top 50. In very good condition, with somewhat heavy creasing and handling wear. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks.
