Impressive original color 46.75 x 62.75 ‘grande’ movie poster for the French release of the 1952 Charlie Chaplin film Limelight, which was released by United Artists on October 23, 1952. Made by the Paris-based lithographic printing firm Richier-Laugier, the poster features vivid artwork (ostensibly done by artist Silvano ‘Nano’ Campeggi) of Chaplin’s distraught clown character above the image of a whip-wielding ringmaster, with bold text to upper and lower portions: “Charles Chaplin, Dans Son Premier Role Dramatique” and “Limelight, ‘Les Feux de La Rampe,’ avec Claire Bloom et Sidney Chaplin.” Framed to a slightly larger size and in fine condition, with intersecting folds as issued.
