Scarce ‘Apollo 7 Fan Club’ badge that originally belonged to NASA astronaut nurse Dee O’Hara, 3˝ in diameter, signed on the reverse in black felt tip by O’Hara, with the front marked “Apollo VII Fan Club, Y.B.Y.S.A.I.A,” an initialism that stands for ‘You bet your sweet ass I am,’ a mandatory response from a member of the Ancient and Honorable Order of Turtles (Turtle Club) when asked ‘Are you a Turtle?’ A member who doesn’t answer loudly or correctly buys the other member a drink. The badge is accompanied by an official vintage color glossy 10 x 8 NASA photo of the Apollo 7 crew standing with Deke Slayton and Astronaut Office secretary Lola Morrow, who is seen wearing the same ‘Apollo 7 Fan Club’ badge. Dee O'Hara served as the official nurse to the Mercury Seven astronauts and their families, and went on to support the Gemini, Apollo, and Skylab programs. Her contributions laid the foundation for the field of space nursing.
