Three participation pins issued to longtime IOC member and former Olympic athlete Phillip W. Coles, who competed in canoeing events at the Rome 1960, Tokyo 1964, and Mexico City 1968 Summer Olympics. Made by Bertoni of Milan, each gold-tone pin measures .5˝ x .75˝ and features the Olympic rings against an Olympic torch, which are individually marked with the Olympic years: “1960,” “1964,” and “1968.” These pins were issued retroactively to Olympians in the 1980s.
