Vintage fountain pen signatures, "Lou Gehrig" and "Joe DiMaggio,” on opposite sides of a pale green 5.5 x 4.25 album page. In fine condition. With the careers of Lou Gehrig and Joe DiMaggio overlapping from 1936 to 1939, this remarkable autograph page represents a passing of the torch from one Yankees icon to another. Gehrig had cemented his status as baseball's sturdy 'Iron Horse,' and DiMaggio was emerging as the superstar anchor of the Yankees' outfield. To have ideal autographs of two of New York's all-time greats on a single item is incredibly desirable. Encapsulated and graded by PSA/DNA as “MINT 9.”
