Original vintage circa 1945 glossy 6.5 x 8.25 wirephoto (Type III) of Gen. George S. Patton, Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower, and President Harry S. Truman attending a special flag raising ceremony in Berlin in July 1945, with the original press caption affixed to the reverse: "The American flag raised on this occasion was the same one which flew over the Capitol in Washington, December 7 and 8, 1941, when war was declared on Japan and the Axis. It also flew over Rome—Tokyo is its next flaunting place." Reverse is stamp-dated August 1, 1945, and bears an International News Photo credit stamp. In fine condition, with light bends and wrinkles.
