Two samples of the "Certificate of Participation" issued to contributors to the Apollo 11 moon landing, 8 x 6, evidently issued to Kennedy Space Center director Kurt H. Debus for his approval. The certificates feature the image of the Apollo 11 VIP launch badge, with facsimile signatures of Debus and a project manager below; a paperclipped card explains: "These are samples of the Apollo 11 certificates of participation. The one with your signature only is for Civil Servants; the one with two signatures will be for the contractors—which will be signed by individual contractor managers." Additionally includes the certificate of participation issued to Shirley Ferguson, longtime executive secretary to Kurt H. Debus, and the form letter enclosing the certificate (both with facsimile signatures). In fine condition.
