Tkach, in part: “Unless all records are awry (which could happen easily), I am reminded that Sunday is your birthday…I do hope that you have a fitting celebration for the occasion, and that, for one day at least, the White House staff will desist from major and minor illnesses…Happy Birthday!” The second letter, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal ‘DDE’ letterhead, March 21, 1963, addressed from Palm Desert, California, sent to James S. Copley, chairman of Copley Newspapers, in part: “Thank you for sending along the photograph taken at the Freedoms Foundation meeting in Palm Springs.” In overall fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope for the White House letter.
