Two vintage circa 1926 matte-finish 9.75 x 13.75 photographic portraits of President Calvin Coolidge (by Harris & Ewing) and First Lady Grace Coolidge (by Underwood & Underwood), each signed and inscribed in the lower border to pianist and composer Mme. Marguerite Melville Liszniewska: "To Mme. Marguerite Melville Liszniewska, With best wishes, Calvin Coolidge," and "To Mme. Marguerite Melville Liszniewska, in appreciation of her playing for us, Grace Coolidge." Although undated, the photographs were undoubtedly signed in 1926 as that is when Liszniewska played for the Coolidges at the White House. The photographs are housed in an attractive hinged art-nouveau style double-frame. In overall fine condition.
