Description

Pen used by President Richard Nixon to sign ‘An Act to establish the American Bicentennial Administration, and for other purposes’ (H.R. 7446) on December 11, 1973. The official Parker 'bill signer' pen measures 5.25″ long and features a navy-blue plastic barrel bearing a silver facsimile signature and a silver-tone cap section. Mounted and cloth-matted and framed with its original presentation box and cover, which bears a preprinted signature, and a printed copy of the original signed statute to an overall size of 26 x 23. In fine condition, with wear to the frame, including a loose lower right corner. A desirable presidential piece that heralded the momentous celebration of the 200th anniversary of the United States of America.
