Uncommon original vintage glossy 14 x 11 photograph of the "L.C. Humes High School Class of June 1953," featuring the portrait of Elvis Presley as a graduating senior at the center of the second-to-last row. Nicely mounted, double-matted, and framed to an overall size of 18 x 15. In fine condition.
Originates from the collection of Elvis's best friend, George Klein, who is pictured as class president in the third row. Accompanied by a letter of provenance signed by Klein, in part: "The framed group picture from Elvis' senior year at Humes High School, in Memphis, TN., is an original class picture from George Klein's personal collection...I, George Klein, was Elvis Presley's best friend and one of the 12 original members of the Memphis Mafia. Our friendship dates back to Humes High School, where Elvis and I were in the same grade. I am also the only person to whom Elvis was best man for at a wedding...I do attest that this is my personal framed class group picture from our senior year."
