Rare color 23.25 x 35 Warner Bros. Records promotional poster associated with the release of Prince’s 1978 debut album For You, featuring the bare-chested Prince wearing an unzipped leather jacket, with text to the top and bottom reading “Prince, For You” and “On Warner Bros. Records and Tapes.” This poster was mailed (factory folded, 12 x 12) in advance to select record stores that were scheduled for personal appearances by a then-unknown Prince in promotion of his first album. This copy of the poster was received (but never displayed) by a record store in St. Paul, Minnesota. Rolled and in fine condition, with vibrant colors and the corners pristine and free of any pin holes or tape residue. This rare item has been carefully preserved for the past 40+ years by an early Minneapolis-based collector.
