Scarce original color 38.25 x 28.25 EMI Records promotional poster for ‘Anarchy in the UK’ (EMI 2566), the debut single from the Sex Pistols, which was released on November 26, 1976, and later featured on their album Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols. Shortly after signing on, the band was involved in multiple publicity and production problems for EMI and was thrown off the label. The Pistols followed up with typically caustic opinions on their sole studio album's track, 'EMI.' The poster features artwork by Jamie Reid that depicts a tattered Union Jack flag pieced together with clips and safety pins. In good to very good condition, with multiple intersecting folds, overall creasing, stains, many tears, and paper loss to the bottom edge.
