Description

Revolutionary War-dated continental currency for $1/3 issued in accordance with a resolution of Congress passed at Philadelphia on February 17, 1776, serial no. 352382, printed by Hall & Sellers. On the face is a "Mind Your Business" emblem at right, often attributed to Benjamin Franklin; the reverse portrays an interlocked chain with the names of the 13 colonies, encircling the rayed central motto "We Are One / American Congress." In fine condition. A desirable 1776-dated fractional note with patriotic symbolism.
