Two rare souvenir items from the St. Louis 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition, which was held concurrently with the III Olympic Games: an official “Universal Exposition, Saint Louis, 1904” program for the “Olympic Games and World Championship Contests,” 6 x 9, printed by the Department of Physical Culture, listing David R. Francis as president and Theodore Roosevelt as honorary president; and an original 2.75 x 1.25 ticket stub for the “Louisiana Purchase Exposition,” marked for Company 126, issued as No. M1144. Both items are matted and framed below archival TruVue UV-protecting glass to an overall size of 10.5 x 15.25. In overall fine condition, with light staining to the program cover.
