Three items affiliated with the production and screening of Prince's 1990 film Graffiti Bridge: an original printout of the first draft for the script, 52 pages, 8.5 x 11, with "Graffiti Bridge, Dawn Renee Jones - Draft 1, 1/12/90" on the cover sheet (Dawn Renee Jones was a dialogue coach on Purple Rain and script consultant on Graffiti Bridge); a Graffiti Bridge set credential/badge; and invitation/admission pass cards for the world premiere screening of Graffiti Bridge, held at the Cineplex Odeon Ziegfeld Theatre in New York on November 1, 1990, and the afterparty at Tatou, in their original Warner Bros. envelope addressed to Jill Willis at Paisley Park. In fine condition.
Prince's former co-manager Jill Willis recalls: "From the first draft of the screenplay for Graffiti Bridge to the invitation to the world premiere in New York, this was an exciting project with an incredible soundtrack. An exciting time that marked my transition from frequent trips to Minneapolis when I was still living and working in New York to moving to Minnesota to work full-time for Prince and on various projects related to publicizing artists on the label and help promote the facility. I vividly recall the day of Graffiti Bridge film premiere; it was 'the' place to be that night! My former employer had given me an office to work from for a few days and the phones were ringing incessantly as people came out of the woodwork to request getting added to the limited guest list."
