Desirable 6 x 9 menu from the "Farewell Dinner" hosted onboard the S.S. 'President Roosevelt' on August 20, 1928, signed on the front cover by Earl Fuller, Sid Robinson, Ray Barbutti, John Collier, and Fred Alderman; and on the reverse by Bob McAllister, Snitz Snider, Dick Ziegler, and Joe Tierney. Of these signers, three were medallists at the Games: Barbuti won two gold medals (400 metres, 4x400 m relay), Alderman won one gold (4x400 m relay), and Collier took home a bronze (110 m hurdles). In very good condition, with soiling and toning to the covers, heaviest to the back cover. Originally built as a Harris-class attack transport towards the end of World War I, the SS President Roosevelt entered commercial service after her completion and carried the American Olympic team to and from the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam.
