Desirable original 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photograph of the inauguration of President James A. Garfield on March 4, 1881, with "Brady's National Portrait Gallery" backstamp. The mount is annotated in ink, "Inaug. Pres. Garfield" and "Compliments of M. B. Brady" (not in Brady's own hand). In fine condition. Accompanied by autographs of two of President Garfield's sons: a New Year's card signed by Harry Augustus Garfield, and an ALS by Abram Garfield.
