Group lot of three commemorative covers with typed captions or ‘Victory over Japan Day’ cachets, two postmarked at Washington, D.C., on September 2, 1945, and one on August 6, 1972 (the 27th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing), all three signed in blue ink by Paul Tibbets, who adds to one cover: “Pilot of the Enola Gay, Hiroshima, 6 Aug 45.” In overall fine condition.
