Vintage glossy 7.5 x 9.75 promo photo of the Beatles published by 'Star Pics' in 1963, signed on the reverse in black ballpoint by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. In very good to fine condition, with scattered light stains to the signed side, and silvering, flecks of emulsion loss, and surface impressions (from Lennon's bold signature on the back) on the image side. Encapsulated and graded by PSA/DNA as "NM-MT 8."
Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks, a letter of authenticity from noted Beatles expert Frank Caiazzo, and a letter of provenance from the sister of the original recipient, in part: "Trish went to a Beatles concert in London and hung back at the end. She waved the enclosed photo at Paul, he sent a 'lackey' over & they all signed it." The Tracks and Caiazzo letters observe that the Beatles' only London performance in 1965 was at the Astoria Theatre in Finsbury Park on December 11th. Caiazzo notes: "Beatles autograph sets from the year 1965 are rare and desirable, and these are all excellent representative examples from that scarce time period." A superb piece, boasting large and bold Beatles autographs.
