From the collection of longtime IOC member James Worrall—a scarce painted porcelain medallion from the Melbourne 1956 Summer Games made by Meissen, 89 mm in diameter, with embossed Olympic rings and motto on one side and the other featuring an olive crown with raised text, “Melbourne 1956, Gesamtdeutsche Olympiamannschaft,” with crossed swords mark below. Includes its original presentation box, which bears some stains and soiling. In fine condition.
