I don't expect to be in California for some time, but if you'll give me a ring when you are east, we can set it up and see what comes out”; and a gold-tone Christmas card, measuring 5.25 x 8 open, signed inside in black ballpoint, “Merry Xmas + hello, J. M. C.” In overall fine condition. The card is accompanied by its original mailing envelope, postmarked December 5, 1971, and addressed in Cain’s own hand.
