Al Worden's rare NASA MSC T-38 patch, measuring 4.5″ x 5.25″, featuring a partially embroidered image of a Northrop T-38 Talon on white twill, blue merrowed edge with tail, and cloth back. These scarce original patches were produced in small quantities for the astronauts and service crews who flew the T-38s based at the Manned Spaceflight Center in Houston, Texas; they were sometimes worn by the Apollo astronauts on their flight suits. Includes a vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Worden posing in front of a Northrop T-38 Talon supersonic jet trainer. In very good to fine condition, with scattered foxing to the patch, and a few creases and surface marks to the photo.
From the collection of Apollo 15 CMP Al Worden, and accompanied by a letter of provenance from his daughter Alison (Worden) Penczak.
