Official leather NASA name patch issued to Christa McAuliffe prior to her tragic STS-51-L mission. The 4 x 2 patch features silver NASA wings and text: "Christa C. McAuliffe, Teacher, Civilian." In fine condition, with scuffing to the emblem. The consignor notes that the patch was obtained from one of McAuliffe's close friends, who was given the patch after it was damaged during training.
