MXK-420/A24A Flight (Signal) Data Recorder procured under an Air Force contract, measuring 11" x 12.75" x 5", with an Airesearch plate on the front: "MXK-420/A24A Signal Data Recorder, Part 538956-2-1, Serial 0000017, Contract AF33-657-15113." Intended for installation on either combat or military transport aircraft. Applied on the side are a label filled out with modification dates, and a Dayton Research Institute label identifying the associated project as "F-106." Exhibits some toned adhesive remnants on the top.
