Latin Percussion rock shaker used on stage by Prince. The black shaker measures 9.5″ in length and 2.5″ in diameter, and features the “LP” logo to center. In fine condition, with slight wear and scuffs from use. Accompanied by a detailed letter of provenance from a former employee of Prince, who worked as a promoter for Prince’s Glam Slam nightclub in Los Angeles, and as a website designer for the online release of his CD package, The Crystal Ball. He states: “I believe this was an instrument originally belonging to Sheila E. While in concert, Prince took the shaker and used it onstage and then he proceeded to stage left where he tossed it into the crowd. I was present in the audience and caught it. That is how it came to be in my possession."
