Revolutionary War-dated manuscript document, signed "Fisher Gay," one page, 7.25 x 7.5, Hartford, May 3, 1776. Document for "12 Cask of Flower" purchased from Fisher Gay by Captain Jeremiah Wadsworth, amounting to a total of £29.19.7. Mounted, matted, and framed to an overall size of 14.75 x 15.25. In fine condition. Wadsworth (1743-1804) was a sea captain, merchant, and statesman from Hartford, Connecticut, who was responsible for supplying the Continental Army.
