The Boston Evening-Post, August 29, 1774. Protest of the implementation of the Intolerable Acts. Resolution of the Delegates of the different Counties of the Colony and Dominion of Virginia protesting the proclamation of Gen. Gage of Massachusetts-Bay which declared it treason for the inhabitants of that Province to assemble themselves to consider of their grievances and form associations for their common conduct. Lengthy article responding to taxation of the Colonies for their claimed failure to contribute to the charges incurred of a war undertaken for their defense; article details expenses incurred by the Province of Massachusetts-Bay from 1620 (Colony of New-Plymouth established in a "wild desert, surrounded by Indians, without any assistance of the Crown of Great Britain") through at least 1760.
