Report of Connecticut's resolution to support Bostonians suffering "under the hand of oppression"

The Pennsylvania Gazette, March 29, 1775. Printed by Hall and Sellers, Philadelphia. Remonstrance to General Gage presented by the Selectmen of the Town of Billerica, concerning the tarring and feathering of Thomas Ditson by his Majesty’s 47th Regiment. Reports of letters concerning the petition of the Continental Congress to King George III - apparently the October 26, 1774 petition of the First Congress - which was delivered through the hands of Lord Dartmouth; the Answer to the petition stated: "His Majesty has been pleased to receive the Petition very graciously, and to say, that as it was a Matter of great importance, he would lay it before the two Houses of Parliament."

Connecticut resolution to provide relief to "our brethren in Boston" who have "long suffered, and are still suffering, under the hand of oppression, grievous and unparalleled hardships, and distresses in consequence of their resolution to support the great principles of Constitutional Liberty…"
