Interesting collection of 11 handwritten and signed postcards from astronauts, sent to congratulate the Eiffel Tower on its 100th anniversary in 1989. Includes: Wally Schirra ("My father tried to fly a Spad aircraft through your legs during World War I, and I could imagine launching into Space with you in the 1960s, I hope you have 100 more"), Charlie Duke, Charles Conrad, Frank Borman ("Fine memories of a lovely lady!"), Rusty Schweickart (Happy Birthday Mme. Eye-Ful!"), Harrison Schmitt ("To 'La Tour Eiffel' and the future!"), Al Worden ("Happy Birthday to one of the Best Known Wonders of the World"), Deke Slayton ("Many more centuries of health to La Tour Eiffel"), Guion S. Bluford ("Happy Birthday Madame Eiffel Tower on your 100th Year"), Duane Graveline, and Scott Crossfield ("May your beacon of the human spirit shine for hundreds of more years"). In overall fine condition, with occasional postal cancellations.
