Original color dye transfer print of Alice's tea party from the classic 1951 film Alice in Wonderland, signed and inscribed on a piece of its original presentation mat in brown crayon, "To Helen Rose—Best Wishes, Walt Disney." Matted and framed to an overall size of 22.5 x 18.5. In very good condition, with a vertical tear which passes through the first letter of the signature; condition of the rest of the original mat is unknown, but the present display is highly attractive and a good representation of the original set-up. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Phil Sears Collectibles, a full letter of authenticity from JSA, an original newspaper clipping reporting on Disney's gift, and a photocopy of Disney's original letter presenting the print. In 1957, in return for an antique railroad lantern sent to him by four children in Elkhart, Indiana, Disney sent out four signed and dedicated dye transfer prints.
