American artist (1867-1944) whose distinctive 'Gibson Girl' illustrations defined the image of American women at the turn of the 20th century. Two items: an ALS signed “C. D. Gibson,” one page, 11 x 8.5, Seven Hundred Acre Island letterhead, no date, to Mr. LeMonte, in full: "I receiv'd your letter and the next time I am in your neighborhood I will stop in"; and a bold ink signature, "C. D. Gibson," on an off-white 3.5 x 2 card, affixed to a larger scrapbook page. In fine condition.
